Set in the same world as the Riftwar series, and based on the CD-ROM games Betrayal at Krondor and Return to Krondor, this book is the first of a new sub-series called the Riftwar Legacy. It follows the exploits of a traitorous elf during a period of upheaval and war in the land of Midkemia.
