The second volume in the series that began with Sword-Dancer. Tiger and Del must travel to the Place of Swords in order to reclaim Del's honor in sword-dancer combat. Along the way, haunted by her fall from grace among the sword masters of the North, Del faces challenges that her great skill, even when combined with that of Tiger, may not be enough to keep them both alive, and get them to the final combat.
