A vampire is released from his centuries-old magical paralysis, freeing him to walk in today's world and pursue his quest for vengeance against the mad sorcerer who imprisoned him. His quest has far larger implications than the merely personal, as the sorcerer is now the most powerful being on Earth, and is drawing near to fulfilling his destined role as the world's destroyer.
