Mike Naismith Vorkgosian wants to save the Emperor Gregor from harm for two reasons: first, because Gregor is an old friend; second, if Gregor dies, Mike is next in line to assume the emperor`s throne, a position that would change his lifestyle dramatically. Winner of the 1991 Hugo Award.
