As a boy, Arlian accidentally swallowed the combination of blood and dragon venom that turns a person into a dragonheart--a strong, extremely long-lived being with a diminishing amount of humanity as the years pass. He hates what he has become, and for years, he has pursued vengeance against the dragons. Now, as he explores the mysterious link between humans, dragons, and magic, he realizes that his vendetta may have had unintended consequences to the world around him.
