This epic fantasy by Margaret Weis, best known for her work in the Dragonlance series, is the sequel to MISTRESS OF DRAGONS and the second book in the Dragonvarld trilogy, set in a world where dragons and humans share a tense, intrigue-laden coexistence. Twin boys, one apparently human, the other visibly half-dragon, half-human, grow up apart under extremely different circumstances, their mother Melisande having died at their birth. The human, Marcus, is brought up as a prince, and the hybrid Ven (short for Vengeance) is raised as a peasant under the care of Melisande's bitter female lover. When the twins finally reunite, will they serve to heal the rift between humans and dragons, or will they widen it beyond repair?
